ABOUT

COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

I am a BACP Registered Integrative Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. My aim is to provide a confidential, empathetic, safe and non-judgemental space to allow us to develop a trusting relationship where life challenges can be explored. My hope is that by providing a space, you can gain deeper insight into what is impacting you, find ways of healing and moving forward. In sessions, I do not tell you what decisions you should make but I will provide a safe space from which exploration and empowerment becomes possible.

As an integrative counsellor, I can incorporate a range of approaches such as psychodynamic, humanistic, transpersonal, solution-focused and existential to meet your needs.

Some of the issues I have experience working with include anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self-esteem, inner critic, work issues, loss, trauma, childhood wounds, relationships, domestic abuse, life transitions, racial trauma, cultural, neurodiversity, family problems, estrangement, amongst, other challenges. Should you be unable to see the issue you need support with, I am happy to further explore what is happening for you and see how I can support.

Furthermore, I have experience working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and ensure that therapy is LGBTQIA+ affirmative. Also, I have professional experience working within the voluntary, NHS, gender based violence, private mental health, education, and child and adolescent mental health sectors.

I recognise that contacting an appropriate counsellor can be a daunting task. Therefore, I am open to receiving any questions you might have and if you feel I could be the right counsellor for you, to arrange an initial consultation to get a sense of how I might be able to support you.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION

I offer a reflective, collaborative supervision space where you can think deeply about your client work, yourself as a practitioner, and the wider contexts shaping both.

My approach is grounded in integrative counselling, drawing from humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT, solution-focused, The Seven Eyed Model approaches, alongside an intersectional lens. I aim to offer supervision that is anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and affirming of your identities and lived experience, including cultural, neurodivergent and queer perspectives.

I pay careful attention to how power, privilege, identity, relational dynamics and social context can influence both the therapeutic and supervisory relationship. Alongside this, I support you to develop your clinical thinking, confidence and capacity to work safely and ethically with your clients.

In our work together, you may find space to:

  • Feel supported and thought about as a whole person, not just a practitioner

  • Develop confidence in your clinical decision-making and risk management

  • Explore relational dynamics, including parallel process

  • Deepen your reflective capacity and self-awareness

  • Sustain yourself in the work over time and reduce burnout

  • Navigate the practical and emotional realities of private practice

  • Grow as both a therapist and a human being

Who I work with:

  • Qualified therapists and counsellors

  • Trainee counsellors

  • Therapists wanting to integrate an anti-oppressive and intersectional stance into their work

  • Therapists seeking supervision that is culturally aware, neurodivergence-affirming and queer-affirming
